HAWKE Wildlife- Dine on the Wildside Dinner Fundraiser

HAWKE Inc (Humane Association of Wildlife Care & Education), www.hawkewildlife.org a 501 c (3) non-profit rehabilitation and educational organization announces its 24th Annual “Dine on the Wild Side” Fundraiser Benefit to be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The ticketed event will be held and sponsored by the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. The public is invited to this event, a wild Saturday of fun and delicious food. There are no state or federal funds for wildlife rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife. HAWKE Inc., a professional facility since 1987, cares for owls and hawks, but has special facilities for difficult and endangered species with trained professionals to care for them around the clock. Extreme species such as eagles, falcons, bobcats, and river otters need 24-hour care. Their goal is to release animals back to the wild, giving them a second chance at life. Donations and fundraisers are the main support for HAWKE. Melanie Stage, president of HAWKE, reminds the public that the Alligator Farm is much more than a recognized zoo, its natural wild bird breeding sanctuary. There are also many varied educational exhibits with the wildlife. You and your family will enjoy exclusive use of the entire park from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The event includes a guided boardwalk tour of the bird rookery where thousands of nesting, wading birds, herons, egrets, endangered wood storks and roseate spoonbills can be viewed and photographed with their young.
