Valentine Dance

Whether you are single, taken, or *it’s complicated*, come join us in celebrating loving ourselves at The Valentine Dance!
About this Event

Sure, Valentine’s Day is focused on romantic relationships, but we’re ready to celebrate the most important relationship in your life — the one with yourself. Treat yourself to a night out with the Hennessys and DJ HU!

Hennessy Events is teaming up with Classic Blends to create a one-night-only Valentine Themed Pop-Up Bar at The Deck at Push Push Salon! We’ll have sweets, cocktail/beer/wine stations, photo stations for that perfect Insta pic, all while bumpin your favorite tunes.

Dress to impress: wear what you feel FAB-YOU-LOUS in (hello outfit that you’ve been dying to wear, but don’t know what to wear it to!!) and get ready to dance the night away.

We are proud to be serving Two Titmice Vodka, a small, local vodka company who donates $2 per bottle to patients battling Breast Cancer. Caitlin Daugherty, a local realtor at Endless Summer Realty, has donated her time to bar tend our event. All of the tips she makes at the dance will be donated to the Two Titmice Foundation. Soirees For Days Bus will have a Valentine Photo Booth set up with $5 prints, with partial proceeds being donated to the foundation as well. Proceeds will go directly to local patients who are battling breast cancer.

21+, Pre-sale tickets $35 (ticket prices will go up on February 1st)

Hennessy Holiday Ball

Ever want to dress up fancy and have a dance party in a movie theater that was built in 1880?  The Hennessy Holiday Ball is an event you never knew you needed.

Whether you are on the nice list, or the naughty list, you are invited to join us for drinks and dancing at the Corazon Cinema. For one night only, we will be transforming the movie theater into a pop-up holiday bar– turning one of the theaters into a dance party with DJ Trax X E.J.

Want a chance to win our raffle prizes? Bring an unwrapped present that will be donated to The Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County and given to local youth!

Purchase tickets online for a discount, or pay $15 at the door.

21+, please dress in formal or cocktail attire.

Smithsonian’s “Year of Music” Museum Day Celebration

Discover, learn, listen, and create! Search for musically inspired artifacts and artworks while exploring the museum galleries with a scavenger hunt specifically designed for Museum Day’s 2019 theme: Smithsonian Year of Music. Learn about and listen to vintage instruments during several gilded age music room demonstrations. After the scavenger hunt and music demonstrations, come to the Mezzanine level overlooking the former Alcazar Hotel’s historic pool area to create your own music-themed craft. You’ll also want to explore our museum store where we have exciting musically inspired items.

Join the Lightner Museum and Smithsonian Magazine in celebrating “A Year of Music.” Museum Day’s annual celebration of boundless curiosity provides free admission for two people with Smithsonian Museum Day tickets. Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address. The ticket provides free general admission for two on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Tickets are available to download from smithsonianmag.com. Registration through the Smithsonian Magazine website is required prior to entry to receive free general admission for two.

House Concert: Francis Dunnery

Enjoy the awe-inspiring guitar and vocal skills of musician Francis Dunnery up close and personal at this intimate house concert. Dunnery was the frontman of the English Group It Bites, and toured with acts as diverse as Robert Plant (with whom he performed on Letterman) and Santana. An evening of great music and rock and roll stories.

House Concert: Jill Sobule

Intimate house concert by singer/songwriter Jill Sobule. Sobule is an American singer-songwriter best known for the 1995 single “I Kissed a Girl”, and “Supermodel” from the soundtrack of the 1995 film Clueless. Her folk-inflected compositions alternate between ironic, story-driven character studies and emotive ballads, a duality reminiscent of such 1970s American songwriters as Warren Zevon, Harry Nilsson, Loudon Wainwright III, Harry Chapin, and Randy Newman.
