Wednesday evenings are special for tourists and locals alike as the St Augustine Beach Civic Association presents the 17th season of Music by the Sea. This free, family friend event happens each Wednesday evening starting on May 7th and continues through September 11th. 19 weeks, 19 different bands featuring music from multiple genres of music including Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock, Country, Disco, Pop and Latin too. The event runs from 6 until 9 PM each Wednesday evening at the St Johns County Pier Park in the Pavilion. Each week a different local eatery provides optional food service with dinners priced at $10 or less. Patrons should bring their own blanket or beach chairs, pack a cooler and get ready to dance. Please join us for a Springtime Celebration in the heart of the historic district! The “Midnight Gardener” album release party of Saint Augustine’s very own Stephen Pigman will be held at the gorgeous Colonial Oak Music Park on St. George Street Friday, March 29th. The event is free and open to the public. It will begin at 6:30pm with an opening act, Pigman will take that stage at 7:30 where he will perform the album in it’s entirety. Favorite local performers have come together to present Comfort & Cheer – a program of seasonal stories, songs, poems, and more – for one performance only on December 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. at 2085 A1A South, Unit #105.
Performers include Shari Little, Margaret Kaler, Guy Tillis, Katie Timoney, Natalie Beltrami, Jennifer Latka, and others. Holiday refreshments will be served.
Comfort & Cheer is a theater-community based fundraiser in support of A Classic Theatre. ACT is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing classic, historic and original works to the St. Augustine theater scene. Recent productions include Intimate Apparel, Lysistrata, Democracy and its Demise, and 1984.

St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church, a mission church of the Cathedral Basilica Saint Augustine, hosts its fourth annual Blues Fest to benefit rectory renovations at 86 Martin Luther King Jr Avenue in Lincolnville. Don’t miss the St. Benedict’s Blues Fest on Friday, Oct. 19 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 20 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. where parishioners are serving barbecue, gumbo and blues! This year introducing a kid’s zone with crafts, face painting and more.
Committee Members began renovating the rectory in 2011. The interior is now complete and restoration has started with exterior work on the brick and mortar. The historic landmark building is used by many ministries for organizational meetings and prayerful meditation.
