Through these programs, Kiwanis strives to instill leadership skills and teach children the value of community service. Funds are also used to provide materials for the Kiwanis Toddler Sensory Day Programs in St. Johns County, with activities designed to help sensory development in young children, and acquaint parents with simple activities to encourage the same at home. Some funds will be used as well to help other local organizations that benefit children, such as the St. Johns County Little League, the Early Learning Coalition of North Florida, and Ability Tree First Coast (providing respite care for families of special-needs children.)
