We are thrilled to announce our new location and our partnership with the Friends of St Augustine Amphitheatre to bring our community a day full of music, creativity, food and fun! The 3rd Annual St. Augustine Makers Fest™ presented by F.O.S.A.A will be held Sunday Dec 9, 2018 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The event which runs from 11am-5pm serves as a principal fundraiser for the St. Augustine Public Montessori School, a 501c3 non-profit and St. Johns County Public charter school. Admission is $5 for adults, kids FREE!
Local artisans will be showcasing their amazing crafts and leading in-depth workshops.
This year we introduce Making Worlds where making station crafts are separated into Paper World, Textile World and Nature World under the big top of the Amphitheatre. Our stations provide making opportunities for Makers of all ages to create a quality craft that can be given as a gift or kept for yourself. We have even added a few tall tables this year for Makers over 5ft tall.
To get your making on, make sure to take advantage of our 25% off ticket discount presale, by visiting Simple Gestures (Anastasia Blvd near the Lighthouse) starting Nov 16. OR visit our booth at the Nov 27 Tuesday Night Market or Dec 1 Saturday Market. Tickets are also used for food and beverage purchases. Turkey Run hosted by VW of St. Augustine and the Old City Oil Drippers is a free annual car show that is fun for the whole family. Bring out your vintage or newer model VW or just come by and enjoy the bounce house, DJ, Food, Raffle and car contest. This event will raise funds with the sales of tee shirts and posters for the family of former Old City Oil Drippers Designer and member John Boswell who passed away suddenly last year at the age of 40 leaving behind his wife and two children.
The Pumpkins are coming to Shores United Methodist Church! The Pumpkin Patch is opening on Saturday, October 6. 2018. The hours of the Pumpkin Patch are daily from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. There are mini-pumpkins, pie pumpkins and larger pumpkins of all sizes. Come and pick out your perfect pumpkin to carve for Halloween! The Pumpkin Patch supports the local outreach ministries of the church. Shores United Methodist Church is located at 724 Shores Blvd, between the Golf Course Clubhouse and Hartley Elementary.
