Summer Musical TheatreCamp middle school / high school crossover cast presents the musical Little Shop of Horrors. A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination! One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows, Little Shop Of Horrors the charmingly tongue in cheek comedy has been produced worldwide. It’s entertainment for the entire family.

Performances of Little Shop Of Horrors at the Lewis Auditorium, 14 Granada St., St. Augustine are Friday evening, July 26, Saturday evening, July 27, at 7:30 PM and a Sunday matinee on July 28 at 2:00.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased on the day of the show. Box office will open one hour prior to show and house will open half an hour prior to show.

Meet & Greet with Short E. Dangerously

As seen in the newest Ripley’s Believe It or Not! TV show on Travel Channel, Short E. Dangerously will be at Ripley’s St. Augustine this Saturday, June 29th, from 1pm – 3pm for a meet and greet!

The meet and greet will be held at the St. Augustine Ripley’s Believe It or Not! located at 19 San Marco Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32084. Guests will have the chance to take a photo, grab an autograph, and even meet the “half man” himself.

Short E. Dangerously developed a condition at two years old that led to the amputation of both his legs. Short E. “half-man” travels extensively with a sideshow troupe, wowing audiences with mind blowing acts like hand standing on bowling balls and jumping from a chair onto a pile of flaming glass without being harmed.

Concerts in the Plaza

St. Augustine’s free summer music series returns for its 29th season serving up some of the best musical entertainment in Northeast Florida. The series is known for showcasing the best in regional musical talent including bluegrass and blues, jazz and country, swing and folk, old-time and popular rock. There is no permanent seating in the Plaza, so guests should bring lounge chairs, blankets, or something to sit on. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited, but picnics are welcome.

Penguins and Pals at Jacksonville Ice!

Meet Jax Cool and Salsa, the Jacksonville Zoo’s mascot on Saturday, June 15th from 12 pm – 4 pm! For $15 you get to ice skate, meet the mascots, receive a penguin rubber ducky to use during the games and Lotsa Give-A-Ways. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Jacksonville Penguin Project. Skate and play for a great cause at Jacksonville Ice!

First Friday Artwalk

This monthly celebration of all things St. Augustine art takes place in art galleries throughout the city and the beach. Galleries will display new exhibitions and pieces, artists will be on hand to discuss their work, local musicians will provide the soundtrack, and the delicious hors d’oeuvres will flow. There’s something new every month, and it’s a perfect way to get out and appreciate the quirky, creative vibe of the Ancient City. The event is free and open to the public.

Full Strawberry Moon Kayak Ecotour

The June Full Moon is called the Full Strawberry Moon. This Full Moon got its name from the Algonquin tribes who knew it as a signal to gather the ripening fruit of wild strawberries.

Grab a paddle and don’t miss this once a month opportunity to watch the sun set over the Matanzas Basin, while the moon rises to reveal her fabulous full shining light!

St. Johns County Town Hall Meeting

St. Johns County’s Poly Drug Task Force is holding a town hall on May 15th at 6 PM at The Armory on San Marco in St. Augustine concentrating on Fentanyl, the negative impact it has made in our county, and the prevention efforts we are making that community members can become involved in. It’s going to be an amazing, educational event!

Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkins are coming to Shores United Methodist Church! The Pumpkin Patch is opening on Saturday, October 6. 2018. The hours of the Pumpkin Patch are daily from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. There are mini-pumpkins, pie pumpkins and larger pumpkins of all sizes. Come and pick out your perfect pumpkin to carve for Halloween! The Pumpkin Patch supports the local outreach ministries of the church. Shores United Methodist Church is located at 724 Shores Blvd, between the Golf Course Clubhouse and Hartley Elementary.
