Lightner museum educators will provide a richer understanding of the types of printmaking while encouraging young visitors to truly look and appreciate why artists choose to work in their selected print media. Our tour will be followed by an enjoyable printmaking activity. Little Lightners (ages 5 – 9 accompanied by an adult) will meet from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and Lightner Leaders (ages 10 – 14) will meet from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for children with an additional $5 fee for parents living outside of St. Johns County. Anyone can paint!! I will show you different techniques and how to find joy in the act of painting. Depending upon the needs of each class, I will teach about color, composition, and light and shadow, as well as exploring lots of cool painting techniques. Each student will start working on the same project and then we will branch out so that each student works on their own individual project, with my guidance.
