Changing of the Guard Ceremony

On the last Saturday of the month, The St. Augustine Garrison performs a monthly changing of the guard ceremony throughout the streets of St. Augustine. This ceremony represents the heightened state of military readiness that took place back in 1740 during the war between England and France. The St. Augustine military was on high alert and had to be maintained around the clock. To witness a re-enactment of history, don’t miss out on this event.
