Ancient City Astronomy Club Presents: The Christmas Star

Join us for a special holiday presentation from the Ancient City Astronomy Club! Vice-President of the club, Rod Paul, will give a historical and astronomical perspective about the Christmas Star based on clues found in the Bible. He will discuss who the Three Wise Men were and the star they followed. He will also talk about what year Jesus would have been born in and why the nativity is celebrated on December 25th. Rod Paul, now retired, had a 35 year career as a science teacher in Pennsylvania. He taught Earth and Space Science, Physical Science, Geology, and Astronomy. He has a Master’s Degree and taught college level Astronomy.
