St. Augustine Sailing Sisters (SASS) is a local group of sailing women who encourage each other to improve themselves and others in our community. SASS celebrates 5 years in 2020 and will hold their 5th annual SASS Bikini Race on August 1, open to female sailing teams.

Friday, July 31, 5-8pm – Zoom Launch Party (tentative)

We are working out the details of an interactive ZOOM launch party!!  Certainly a first, so check back for details.  Register to race and don’t miss the chance to SEE everyone on ZOOM on Friday, July 31 at 5:00pm. Details on the ZOOM login will be posted when they are available!  Can’t wait!

Saturday, August 1, 9:30-10:30am – Skipper’s Meeting

• Skipper +1 in attendance for racing rules
• Register in person if you have not registered
• Race requirement: Woman at the helm for the duration of the race 50% or more female crew on board timing penalty for men on board
• Pickup registration packet
• Pickup t-shirts orders for your crew
• Limited inventory of T-shirts will be available for sale ($20/ea)

Saturday, August 1, 1pm – Start of Race

Intracoastal Waterway. Marker 55. View on Map

• Visit Kingfish Grill and watch racers depart Camachee Cove for the starting line!
• The best viewing location of the starting line for the race is on the north side of the Francis and Mary Usina Bridge, aka the Vilano Bridge.
• Kingfish Grill offers a great viewing location for the afternoon where you can enjoy a full menu of food and drinks for the entire duration of the race.  
• Awards and reception immediately following the race at St. Augustine Yacht Club.
