Our Time: Celebrating Women
March 28, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 10:00 pm
$10 – $40The Our Time: Celebrating Women Film Festival strives to educate, entertain, and inspire future generations about the experiences and contributions of women through the art of film and is a celebration of movies from around the world and a platform for women to tell their own stories. We are proud to feature films and events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote.
The festival is a two-day event that is entertaining, informative and provides audiences with the opportunity to learn about the important topics that affect and inspire women. Major themes of the event will include women’s history, heroes, accomplishments, opportunities, and potential.
The Our Time: Celebrating Women Film Festival is dedicated to supporting female filmmakers and all filmmakers who give agency to women’s issues by giving them a forum to screen their work. We will also host filmmaker networking opportunities and panel discussions highlighting historical contributions by women and current issues surrounding women today.
Over the course of two days in March, documentaries, feature films, and shorts will be screened at the Corazon Cinema and Cafe. The Corazon Cinema and Cafe has hosted numerous film festivals and is the perfect combination of a movie theater and cafe featuring a delicious menu perfect for the movie buff! Try the Meryl Streep, Sophia Loren or the Halle Berry.
Tickets for individual movies will go on sale in mid-March for $10 each.
