The St Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is teaming up with RaceSmith and the Avian Research and Conservation Institute to bring you the inaugural 3k Raptor Run!

This fun run is designed for all ages to participate in as we run to help save avian species in Florida. Pre-registration for this event is required. You may either print out the form below and submit it with the required payment or use the link below to register online. With your registration you will receive a 3k Raptor Run t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, post-race refreshments, and a comped child’s admission ticket to the Alligator Farm for every adult ticket purchase. All proceeds of this event will benefit the Avian Research and Conservation Institute to aid in the conservation and research of native avian species.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Pre-Race Day Bib/Shirt Pick Up and Registration: Saturday, March 14, 2020, 12 – 5 PM at the Alligator Farm, 999 Anastasia Blvd, St Augustine, FL 32080.

Race Day Bib/Shirt Pick Up and Registration: Sunday, March 15, 2020, 6:30 – 8:00 AM at the Alligator Farm. (cash/check only)

Race Start: Sunday, March 15, 2020 – 8:00 AM

Registration will be capped this year at 500 entries. Be sure to register soon!

There are no refunds. In the event of inclement weather, emergency or a natural disaster, the Alligator Farm reserves the right to cancel or postpone the race. In the event of cancellation or postponement, there will be no refunds.

COURSE

Runners and walkers are welcome as we start this event at the world famous St. Augustine Alligator Farm, on Anastasia Island, run through the neighborhood of Davis Shores, and finish back at the Alligator Farm.

There will be water stations at the start, 1 mile and finish.

Digital time clocks will be viewable at the 1 mile and finish.

3K USATF Certified Course # Pending

The purpose of the USATF course certification program is to produce road race courses of accurately measured distances. For any road running performance to be accepted as a record or be nationally ranked, it must be run on a USATF-certified course. In addition, the certification program is very important to the average road racer, as well as those of exceptional speed. Most runners like to compare performances run on different courses, and such comparisons are difficult if course distances are not reliable. No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate.

PARKING

There will be free parking at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm for the entire day. The start and finish of the race will be at the Alligator Farm.

AWARDS

Overall Male and Female finishers and the top three runners in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and older.
